REQUIREMENTS : Applicants have to be in possession of a Grade 12 Certificate and a National
Certificate in Geomatics or Survey Officer Certificate. Completion of the
training prescribed in order to fulfil the required qualification. Job related
knowledge: Computer literacy, Understanding of Spatial Data and features of
Surveyor General Office. Job associated skills: Interpersonal relations,
Communication capabilities (verbal and written), Organisational competencies and Computer
software skills.
DUTIES : Capture, preserve and replace alpha numeric information of all cadastral documents.
Capture alpha and numeric records from newly submitted cadastral
documents and undertake mathematical consistency assessments and data
verification for proposed new land parcels. Update cadastral survey databases
through the addition or modification of each permitted report to maintain
an digital alpha-numeric repository. Capture and confirm historic cadastral
documents. Maintenance of cadastral files in accordance with legislated
processes. Perform withdraw or cancelation of cadastral documents. Deduct,
cancel and suggest cadastral archives with registered land parcels, leases
or servitudes. Amend accredited and registered cadastral documents. Insert all
newly permitted cadastral archives into the archive. Extract and problem out
cadastral records. Refile again cadastral records. Repair and preserve cadastral
records in suitable usable condition. Conduct technical examination of cadastral
documents. Check designations of newly submitted lodgements. Update the
noting sheets via the addition of each authorised cadastral land parcel.
Perform technical examination of diagrams and time-honored plans. Perform
technical examination of survey records. Perform technical examination of
sectional title plans. Supply cadastral facts to inside and external
clients. Issue survey information to Land Surveyors when required. Disseminate
cadastral facts to the public as required, in challenging replica or digital formats.
Supply aerial photographs, rectified imagery and maps from National Geo-
spatial data (NGI) in accordance to signed provider degree agreements.
Capture, preserve and replace spatial data. Capture newly submitted
documents to decide if there are any spatial overlaps prior approval. Add
all newly created land parcels to the spatial datasets. Add data, replace and
maintain an correct dataset of cadastral spatial information, which includes the
addition and updating of historic data. Scan all cadastral files on
approval, amendment, endorsement or withdrawal. Scan newly approved
cadastral documents. Rescan all up to date cadastral documents. Link the
deposited scanned pics to the alpha-numeric data.
