ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: EMPLOYEE RELATIONS REF NO: DSI202302

SALARY : R424 104 per annum (Level 09)
CENTRE : Pretoria

REQUIREMENTS : An NQF degree 6 qualification in labour relations, human resources
management, human sources development, industrial psychology, public
management, administration/operations administration or social sciences. A
minimum of two years’ trip in a labour members of the family environment. Clear
knowledge and grasp of the Public Service Act and Regulations, and
departmental insurance policies and procedures. Good appreciation and know-how of
labour-related regulation (including the Labour Relations Act, the Basic
Conditions of Employment Act and the Employment Equity Act) and ethics
management. Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and
Treasury Regulations. Understanding of confidentiality and protection clearance
prescripts. Communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, planning and
organising, monetary administration lookup and analysis, and negotiation
skills. Experience of presiding at hearings. Service delivery/Batho Pele
oriented. Able to take the initiative, to work independently and as section of a
team, and to liaise with distinct stakeholders at unique levels.

DUTIES : Dispute/grievance management. Administer and coordinate disciplinary
cases, suspensions, appeals and investigations. Coordinate logistics for
Departmental Bargaining Council and Policy Task Team meetings. Liaise and
maintain family members with internal/external stakeholders, which includes other
government departments. Contribute to coverage development. Conduct reviews,
awareness periods and workshops. Provide inner controls and support.
