SALARY : R958 824 per annum (Level 12), (all-inclusive profits package)
CENTRE : Defence Headquarters Erasmuskloof, Pretoria
REQUIREMENTS : Grade 12 (NQF L4) or equal with a recognized Bachelor’s Degree (NQF
L7) in Engineering as acknowledged by way of SAQA. A minimal of 5 (5) years’
experience and three years. In that 5 (5) years you should be three (3) years’
experience as a supervisor in Junior Management degree at Policy environment.
Research and Technical Analysis and Conventional Arms Control gadget is
required. Honours (NQF L8) in Engineering will be an delivered advantage.
Special Requirements (Skills needed): Computer literacy (Microsoft Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, etc). Good smartphone etiquette, sound organisational
skills/events management, high-quality inter-personal skills. High stage of
reliability. Good conversation abilities (written and verbal), capability to act with
tack and discretion and appropriate presentation skills. Knowledge of Departmental
policies and procedures. Knowledge of Conventional Arms Control,
knowledge in purchaser services. Knowledge of relationship administration problem
solving and analysis. Accountability and moral habits Analytical and
innovative wondering capability as properly as trouble fixing skills. Must be in a position to
obtain a personal safety clearance within a year.
DUTIES : The profitable candidate will be accountable to make certain coverage research,
formulation, monitoring and evaluation. Develop Benchmarks in opposition to other
International Arms Control systems. Provide recommendation on Emerging Policy
issues. Develop Internal Policy procedures. Provide Technical Analysis and
Classification of Armaments. Ensure Compliance with Wassennar
Arrangement (WA). Serve to interface with the Technical Support Group.
Ensure the improvement of inside strategies for technical evaluation of items
and products.
